​​I have spent most of my life as an educator, science nerd, avid gardener, garden designer and, most certainly, nature lover.  Now I can add painting with watercolors as a passion.  Find out more in About Me.

Like most folks for the past few years, I have been finding myself seeking out positive, happy things.  Happy thoughts, happy activities, happy books etc.  You get the idea.  So my recent paintings reflect this need for cheerfulness.  The painting at the right is called 'Hummer Heaven'.  This is my first completed hummingbird painting and I wanted it to be bright and cheerful.  Hopefully it will bring a smile to your face like it does mine.  Two other colorful new ones are called 'Happy Hippos' and 'Only a Mother..'.  These and the rest of my recent paintings are in the  ‘What’s New?’ collection along with a new abstract painting from our Patagonia trip, 'Cape Horn Albatross', and another colorful painting of a small waterfall from Australia, 'Falling Down'.
