About Nancy Charbeneau
I am a self-avowed generalist who enjoys sampling the infinite variety in life. I have a lot of interests (gardening, volunteering and exercising to name a few) but of course, of primary importance is my family. I've been very fortunate with all the opportunities, experiences and blessings I've had! I am one lucky lady!
My professional life started in the world of education then moved onto the scientific realms which later morphed into the design field after earning a master's degree in Landscape Architecture. I helped private landowners, churches and some commercial groups design landscapes for over 40 years in Austin plus worked with the City of Austin and the Lower Colorado River Authority after earning my LA degree.

After retiring from the world of 9 to 5, I pursued a life-long fascination with watercolor painting. I initially started painting to fill the blank wall spaces in our home and provide gifts for my family. Now, I also enjoy sharing my creations with friends and friends to be! The Gallery is a great place to start checking out my paintings.
My subject choices reflect my love for nature: Plants and Natural Landscapes, and the mammals, birds, reptiles and insects shown in Creatures Featured. Figures & Urban Landscapes show both the human form and the built environment. While most of my paintings are representational, I do enjoy learning new techniques and getting a bit more Abstracted & Experimental now and then! And finally, the What's New? section highlights paintings I have completed in the past year.
Please Contact Me to ask questions, give comments, make requests or buy one of my painting products. Visit my Store to see my printed offerings and use the direct link to my Fine Arts America website if you would like to own one of my painting images on something you can use!
